What we collect
- Nothing, for free ZIP checks. Checking a ZIP code requires no account and sends us no personal information.
- If you sign up for monitoring, a report, or the waitlist: your email address, ZIP code, and (optionally) your property address.
- If you purchase: payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. Stripe shares with us your email and the address you provide at checkout.
- Your report inputs stay on your device. The numbers you enter to build your MyMarketCheckup report — home value, purchase price, mortgage balance, interest rate, monthly payment, selling timeline — are saved in your own browser's local storage so the report remembers them. They are not transmitted to us, and we never see them. Clearing your browser data erases them.
- Exception, opt-in only: if you turn on a personal number alert ("watch your numbers" — walk-away, equity, or lock-in cost against a threshold you set), the specific inputs needed for that one calculation are sent to us and stored so we can recheck it each time new market data publishes and email you if it crosses. This only happens if you explicitly save an alert. Turn it off anytime from your report page and we delete those stored inputs.
How we use it
To deliver the service you asked for: market-change alerts, your property reports, and account communication. That's it. We do not sell or rent your information, and we don't send third-party marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — database hosting for signups
- Resend — sends our alert and service emails
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe's privacy policy)
- GitHub Pages — website hosting (standard server logs)
- Our referring agent — an independent licensed Maryland real estate agent, who receives the introduction requests you submit and nothing else
Your information is never sold. That is true of everything below.
If you ask for an agent introduction
The report has a "Get Connected" card. Nothing about it shares anything until you fill in the form and submit it. Here is exactly what happens if you do.
- What the form collects: your name, email, phone (optional), the property ZIP and address, your selling timeline (optional), and any note you write.
- What we do with it: requesting an introduction shares your name and contact details with the independent licensed Maryland agent who handles our introductions, and through her with one carefully chosen local agent for your area. That is all we share — we do not publish your details, sell them, or pass them to anyone else.
- Consent is recorded: we store the exact consent wording shown on the form, the exact referring-agent disclosure shown after you submit, and the timestamp of each — so what you agreed to stays answerable later, not just what our policy said at the time.
- Who handles it: the disclosure you see on submitting names the licensed agent who will handle your request and explains that their brokerage may receive a standard referral fee if you go on to work with an introduced agent. It never costs you anything.
- How long we keep it: for as long as the request is active. Ask us to delete it and we will, within 30 days — privacy@shouldisellyet.com.
That agent — independent, and licensed in Maryland — also answers our support address. See Terms for who she is and how introductions and referral fees work.
Cookies & tracking
We collect anonymous, first-party usage counts (like how many ZIP checks happen) with no cookies, no advertising trackers, and no personal identifiers. We honor Do Not Track.
Some forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse.
